Cambodia

Cam·bo·di·a (kăm-bō’dē-ə) (Formerly (1970–1975) Khmer Republic

A country of southeast Asia on the Gulf of Thailand. Once part of the Khmer empire that ruled the entire Mekong River valley, the area was controlled after the 15th century by the neighboring kingdoms of Siam and Annam. Cambodia became part of French Indochina in the 19th century and proclaimed its independence as a kingdom in 1953. After the overthrow of the monarchy in 1970, Cambodia commenced a long period of political and social disruption, especially under the Khmer Rouge regime led by Pol Pot, which was responsible for more than a million deaths from 1975 to 1979. The monarchy was restored in 1993. Phnom Penh is the capital and the largest city. Population: 13,900,000.

Here are the pictures we took on our 4 days Cambodia tour. Cambodia is very poor. I am from Vietnam ( a very poor country) and i feel bad for the people in cambodia. Yes it’s that poor. At this modern days, people still live without electricity, wow. There are so many beggars, and instead of eating chicken or meat, Cambodian would eat spiders, scorpion, crickets, and grasshoppers. They would fried them up and sell as snack.

Anyway, We was in Siem Riep to see Angkor Wat and Ankor Thom. It was amazing. These ruin temples were breath taking. After Siem Riep we visited Phnom Phem and see the king palace and museum. It was pretty awesome. It’s kinda similar to palace of Thailand. I didn’t take any picture in the palace thou.

Hong Kong / Macau

2 months ago i was there for about a week. It’s nice. It’s beautiful city with many beautiful people. It’s just like what i expected from watching HK movies all these years. ;-) I love HongKong night market. The shop extended for miles. It seem like everyone is come out at night. I went to Disney land HongKong. It was really nice, eventhough it couldn’t compare to Disney World which is right next to my house here in Florida.

As for Macau, it was okae. Casino were all over the place, but still couldn’t compare to Las Vegas. Most of the casino were spread out, it not like door to door like Las Vegas. I guess Asian people love baccarat, about 50% of the table in the casino were baccarat tables. I didn’t gamble much. I lost about 100 HK dollars.

Mũi Né, Phan Thiết, Việt Nam

Mui Ne is a great spot for weekend getaway. I didn’t not stay at the resort since i was with like 20 other people in the family. It was fun. People didn’t cut your throat when you buy stuff there, unlike Vung Tau, you have to bargain like crazy to buy something. It was very nice at the sand hill and at the spring. We can walk on it and the scenery is supper beautiful.

suoi tien very pretty huh?

Mui Ne (Mũi Né) is a coastal resort town in Binh Thuan Province, Vietnam, located on an arm of the South China Sea. The town is close to the city of Phan Thiết. Tourism has transformed Mui Ne into a resort destination from 1995, when many visited to view the total solar eclipse of October 24, 1995.
